District 12 Schools
District 12 operates roughly 65 schools across the South Bronx, with the bulk being traditional zoned public schools and a handful of charters—private schools don't factor in here. Elementary options are plentiful, middle schools are well-represented, and high schools round out the selection. About a quarter of schools offer ELL support, while World Languages, AP courses, Humanities tracks, and STEM programs each appear at a subset of schools across the district. State test performance sits in the middle of the pack citywide, and attendance runs solid at around 90%.
