NYC's early-childhood system starts years before kindergarten — free, universal Pre-K for every four-year-old, a growing 3-K program for three-year-olds, plus NYCEEC community centers and private preschools across the five boroughs. Seats run through the central MySchools application on their own timeline, separate from K–12 admissions. Day length, extended hours, and meals can matter as much as location — so we bring every program into one place to find the right fit for your child, your schedule, and your drop-off.
