District 24 Schools
District 24 offers mostly zoned public schools alongside a handful of charters — about one in ten schools in the district operates independently. Families will find ELL support at roughly three dozen schools, with world language options at around fifteen campuses and AP courses at a solid eleven high schools. The academic performance sits near the middle of citywide benchmarks, though daily attendance runs notably strong at 93 percent. Middle school options are fairly plentiful across the neighborhood footprint, while high school-bound students typically compete for seats through specialized exams or audition routes. Arts programming and humanities tracks exist at a smaller subset of schools, giving families who prioritize those pathways something to seek out.
