District 28 Schools
Nearly 70 schools populate District 28, with the vast majority traditional public and just a handful of charters. ELL support shows up at over 20 campuses, while AP coursework and world languages are available at around a dozen high schools each — STEM and humanities programs add further variety. Test scores sit solidly in the middle for Queens, though attendance runs a bit above the city average. A specialized high school admitting via SHSAT sits within the district line, though middle school options are fairly standard zoned feeders rather than audition or exam schools.
